Harris Academies
All Academies in our Federation aim to transform the lives of the students they serve by bringing about rapid improvement in examination results, personal development and aspiration.

Parents' Evenings

Parents Evenings are a vital component of the partnership between Parent, Student and the Academy and provide an important opportunity for dialogue, to ensure that parents are fully equipped to support their child in making the best progress possible.

We hold an annual Parents’ Evening for each year group, with the exception of Year 11 who have two Parents’ Evenings, one near the start of the year and a second to discuss the results of the November mock exams.

We expect all students to attend their Parents’ Evening, accompanied by a parent or carer. Students must attend in full academy uniform.

Parents’ Evenings operate on a drop-in basis. There is no need to make appointments, however, we would advise you to arrive early, as most students have around twelve timetabled teachers, so it can take time to meet them all.

The main focus of the event is academic. Parents should visit each subject teacher and will receive a report on current progress and targets for further improvement in each area. Pastoral leaders, Tutors and the SEND Co-ordinator are also in attendance and will be happy to meet with you as required.

The dates of our Parents’ Evenings for 2015-16 are published below.
