Welcome to
Harris Academy Morden

Harris Academy Morden is a brand new Academy.

The children of local residents benefit from the backing of proven success that is the hallmark of our sponsor Lord Harris of Peckham.  The support of the Harris federation guarantees traditional ethos of order, discipline and respect alongside a commitment to excellence in the very best of contemporary practice.

Our curriculum is personalised for all students. Every single student is expected to make significant progress each year to achieve their personal goals and targets.

The curriculum is designed to support all students and prepare them for their Key Stage 4 courses.

Key Stage 4 is designed for all students to succeed and work towards qualifications that suit their capabilities and their personal interests.

We have pathways to support students aiming for a range of futures:

·         a more traditional route of Academic  subjects for those aspiring to move into A level studies in subjects providing access to Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities;

·         mixed technical / artistic subjects with traditional subjects for those aspiring to move onto A level studies providing access to Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities;

·         a vocational route providing students with core GCSE courses and a range of vocational experiences to support access to college courses or a potential apprenticeships or the world of work.

Our curriculum is underpinned by our emphasis on SMSC and our specialism of Enterprise. This work ensures our students have a holistic education and supports our mission to develop honest, well behaved, strong, resilient yet caring students who are ready to become citizens of the future who we can all be proud of.

This Academy will provide a first class curriculum and additional learning opportunities through our Aspire, Experience and Explore (AEE) programmes, Cake Intellectual Conversation and Tea (CIT), Gifted and Talented (G+T), Harris Experience (HE) events to ensure all students understand the opportunities a Harris education will provide for them in the future.

We will not flinch in our mission to achieve excellent standards and the fulfillment of high expectations.  If you are like-minded enough to subscribe to this philosophy, please apply.  All we ask is your pledge to improve the prospects of our students and your passionate support in making this Academy the pride of the local community.  If you are willing to become an active partner then I look forward to working with you.
