Assemblies play a significant role in student life at Harris Academy Morden.
All Assemblies are planned and quality assured to ensure that we only deliver ‘Outstanding’ assemblies.
Our Assemblies Programme covers a wide range of topics, contributing towards our strong SMSC, PSHE and Citizenship provision related to our school motto: Courage, Challenge, Success.
Each Faculty has a weekly assembly:
Tuesday - Green
Wednesday - Blue
Thursday - Red
Friday - Yellow
All assembly themes are developed in the related Tutor Activity, which further explores the topic through discussion and reflection. Each week there is an Assembly Competition with a task/ questions on the theme of the assembly that week.
Each Wednesday the Assembly Competition submissions are judged. Winning students receive a certificate and a £5 voucher in the following assembly.
Each Friday the materials from the Assembly are published on our website for students to view.
See an example of one of our assemblies below, Mr Mallin, our Principal, delivering an assembly on ‘Challenge’.
The assemblies cover a whole range of topics as can be seen and downloaded at the bottom of this page.
