Basketball at HAMD

Since the introduction of our Basketball Academy we have seen a massive improvement in the basketball being played at HAMD and this has also had a positive impact on our results. The boys and girls KS3 teams were both crowned Borough champions winning the tournaments at Raynes Park High School and Harris Merton respectively. Both teams will now go forward to represent the Borough in the London Youth Games which is a massive honour and achievement.

Recently the Year 10s had their first fixture against Raynes Park High School. It was a well fought game from the beginning however, HAMD showed patience and some good tactical play to start pulling away from RPHS. HAMD proved to be too strong especially on the fast break and were more clinical on the execution of their shots. The final score finished 60-53 in favour of HAMD and it was hard to pick a stand out performance as everyone contributed well to win the game.

We are currently in the process of arranging more basketball fixtures in the new term for our KS3 and KS4 teams so please keep looking back on this page to keep up to date with our results.
