Academy Information/Documentation

This is a copy of the letter sent home on the 14th June 2017

Parent/Student Agreement (sign and return)

The Academy/Student/Parent Agreement is enclosed, please ensure that you and your child read and sign this document.  Your child will not be permitted to start at the Academy if the signed document is not returned by the date stated at the bottom of this letter.

 

Tutors will also read through the agreement with students on their first day at the Academy.

 

Uniform Measuring Event

The Academy Uniform Policy is enclosed along with a leaflet from Brigade Clothing, our on-line Uniform suppliers. To assist parents we will be holding a Uniform Measuring Event with Brigade Clothing, after the Induction Day on Wednesday 5th July from 2.30pm-6.00pm.  This will give your child the opportunity to try on garments and for you to complete a uniform form so that you can order the required items on-line at a later date (or leave at the Academy if entitled to FSM’s).

 

The deadline for on-line uniform orders is August 7th for guaranteed delivery before the start of term.

 

Free School Meals (complete and return)

A Free School Meal application form is enclosed. Entitlement to Free School Meals allows your child to have a free meal worth £2.30 every day and also entitles families to a uniform grant of £70 per school year.   Completed application forms must be returned to Visitors Reception, along with the proof of entitlement (as stated on the application form).  Once the application has been processed and authorised you will be issued with a uniform voucher/order form, when this has been completed it MUST be returned to the Academy who will then send it on to the uniform supplier.  Completed Uniform Orders must be returned to Visitors Reception by Friday 14th July.

 

Trip Permission Letter (sign and return)

This form must be signed and returned if you give permission for your child to take part in trips and other activities that takes place off Academy premises during normal Academy hours and for your child to be given first aid or urgent medical treatment during any trip or activity.

Please note the following important information before signing this form:

The trips and activities covered by this consent include;

  • off-site sporting fixtures
  • visits to other schools
  • curriculum / subject specific trips / field trips

 

E-Safety Form (sign and return)

The Academy is registered under the Data Protection Act and has a legal responsibility to protect and control all stored electronic data and safeguard its use. All students are expected to contribute to the safety and security of all data by using the computer systems and internet sensibly and legally for their own personal Academy work.  Please read the enclosed form with your child and sign and return it by the date stated at the bottom of this letter. 

 

Parent Pay

ParentPay is the school online payment system that lets you make secure online payments by credit and debit card.  You can also pay in cash at local PayPoint stores.  Students will have their fingerprints taken on their first day and the process of registration will then take place.  Students should ensure that they have money to purchase food or bring a packed lunch with them for the first week whilst this process takes place.
