Harris Academy Morden are celebrating another fantastic year of GCSE results. The new DFE measure of Progress 8 (where the National Average result for schools is 0.0) preliminary shows Harris Morden to once more be within the Top 10% of schools nationally with a fantastic score of +0.69. Principal Lee Mallin said “We are so proud of our students and staff. They work so closely together to ensure students are well prepared for the new and harder GCSEs. The staff work above and beyond, late into the evening to ensure the students get the best chance to be successful. Well done to all staff and students!” Harris Academy Morden’s Progress 8 score of +0.69 demonstrates that on average their students are achieving close to ¾ of a grade higher in each subject than the national average with notable success stories like Aysha below: Aysha Aysha joined Harris Academy Morden in year 7 and is from Mitcham. She began the school as a shy and unassuming student, but sought to take herself out of her comfort zone. Aysha took up a position as a member of Merton Youth Parliament and was chosen as a Senior Prefect whilst in year 11. Aysha has high expectations for herself and intends to go to a Russel Group University, being the first person in her family to do so.
